bernymac
Do you guys use battery isolators? Or do you connect all batteries together. If you run batteries in the back of your car what method do you use in between the front and rear batterys. Just wondering thanks.
ChevyBoy
from what ive seen, not a lot of ppl use isolators. most ppl just fuse between the batteries. rite after the front one, and right be4 the back one. some ppl just do the front one though. its recommended to do both though, sort of. bernymac
so they just connect all the batteries to each other? I see that Steve does that, but I don't want my starter battery to die out or drain. I want to isolate it as much as I can, plus I don't want my lights to dim. Just want a safe efficient way. Thanks for your reply.

bernymac
if your talking about equipment then I'm running two Audioque HD315's with two Massive Audio p3000.1. Also, for the extra batteries in the back, I ground them to the car chassis?
AP Zoutes
the safest way to go is with an isolator. It will allow you to play your system with the vehicle off and there are times when the second battery will drain down the main battery because it's recharging itself. As far as grounds I would run a ground to chasis and a ground (or two) directly to battery
bernymac
are you saying that if I choose to use a isolator, to ground the back batteries to the chassis "and" run a wire from the front battery negative to the batteries in the back? I didn't really understand the last part. Thanks for you input btw.
AP Zoutes
no. what I'm saying is whether you use an isolator or not ground to chasis and run ground to main battery
