HELP! Can I sew my Tinsel Leads to my spider On a RF HX2

One of my woofers blew or the tinsel lead just came off I am not sure, still haven't took the sub out the box. So i just wanna fresh recone them both. Is it possible to sew my tinsel lead on to my spider I have a 10 inch Hx2 because i hate the lead slap has anyone ever done this?

are u sure its lead slap? is it punch or power? i have a power hx2 15 i bought bout 6 months ago still new in the box and outta nowhere bout a week ago it started making the rattle knocking noise and it turned out to be suspension sag. i dunno what i did but i put it back in my box and my car yesterday and it isnt making the noise no more plus i wired it @ 4ohm so its only gettin 800w rms instead of 1000+ from my saz1500. and good luck finding a good recone cheap. all i could find was fixmyspeaker.com team psi will recone it with flatwound coil and stiffer suspension for $150 might be cheaper for a ten

Well i have two recones of hx2s left that i got of ebay for 30 dollars but im pretty sure there are no more... It is a punch and i hate cutting the leads so short so sewing them on would help, if it is possible. That really sucks that it cost 150 for a recone but i bet the psi recones are better then the factory hx2. Yeah the powers can really only take about 800 watts so you were probably just overpowering.
