doubleD
No they will actually sound the same...the tuning will drop, but only slightly. And yes they will run cooler... more airflow. ok,,so would you say its better to flip them,,would you do it
chapo123
yes. your basically taking away the dis. of the subs. so if you can get the cuft of your box before dis. and that is how many cuft you would have. more air space is lower tuning. and yeah they would run cooler. Quote Steve I don't know why but everytime I see your new paint I want a Dr. Pepper...... is this normal? heres an analogy for you. running a high power stereo without a fuse is like having unprotected sex with that hot chick at the bar with the sketchy sexual history. Sure you may be fine and nothing happens but that one time something does happen you're fucked. i dont want woofer broke like bass sound clip clip and voice coil overheat 2 sa12s, saz1500 build log http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/91183-chapo123s-sundown-build-log/page__gopid__1250604entry1250604

fecupe2001
i think they sound like poop inverted. looks cool and all but i wouldnt do it. Why like poop? they sound the same for your information. Yes dude, the internal space will increase the amount of cubic feet your subs take, for example if the subs are 0.15 c/f then you´ll increase 0.6 cubic feet, YES i think you´ll pound the lows a little bit more because you´ll drop the tuning maybe a couple of hertz because those subs take some internal space... SDMorris
Depending on your system and configuration it can change the tuning of your box, but not enough for you to notice any audible difference. If anything you might hear mechanical noise from the woofers. When I had my level threes inverted I could hear a very quiet buzzing and tinsel lead slap was noticeable on some notes.
