thumpintundra Posted June 21, 2010 Report Posted June 21, 2010 hey guys so i just bought a TREO SSp 12" woofer...this thing is pretty beefy and i can't wait to get it in my truck and see how nasty it'll get. my question is what frequency should i run in a ported box daily? i want it to be loud as hell but at the same time i want it to hit the lows really hard. it's a 1000 rms woofer and i'll be putting 800 to it so i don't think i'll have a power problem as the guys at TREO said that it would be more than enough to make it thump. any suggestions are appreciated!

thumpintundra Posted June 22, 2010 Author Report Posted June 22, 2010 and that is able to hit hard, loud and low all at the same time with that frequency? i just don't want it to be quiet on the inside and loud on the outside by tuning it too low..i'd rather hear and feel it in the cabin rather than others hearing me
Torres Posted June 22, 2010 Report Posted June 22, 2010 i also recommend mid 30's tuning. although box volume and port area in conjunction will also play a role in how the box plays
thumpintundra Posted June 23, 2010 Author Report Posted June 23, 2010 ok cool..the box will be 1.75 cubes and the reccomended port is 16 in2 and 16 1/2 in. long...idk what frequency that puts me at do you have any idea?
