SDMorris
Look at this sexy beast I picked up today. I took my subs out for probably the beginning of quite some time today. My truck needs some serious deadening/repairs from having my system in when I should have waited till it could handle it. Till then, I sold my subwoofer amp and bought this. I'm going to get my mids and highs sounding amazing before my subs go back in, I'm tired of no SQ. This is a good start. I am new to car audio and I think I messed up buy spending money on amps and sub instead of a solid foundation. The set up I have now is nothing spectacular but I was planning on deadening every thing before I upgrade the subs and amps. Hope that I am not gonna damage anything till I can do that though. Thanks for any advice you can give me. The seal on the back window of my truck has worked itself completely out along the top of the window because of the back of the cab flexing. My dome light broke off, my A/C vents are broken, my dash has cracked, and there are tons of rattles and squeaks that need to be addressed. Sounds like your plans are good I just got too excited and paid the price. Quote DC AUDIO 06' Lancer

Sound deadening is the next step for sure. Whats a decent brand that is easy on the wallet or, is that something you should spend the extra money on? SDMorris
Second Skin Damplifier Pro is what I would recommend. You can see it all over this site in peoples rides and I've experienced the difference myself in peoples cars after adding it, and it makes a vast difference. There are banners and links all over the place on here to get to their site Quote DC AUDIO 06' Lancer

The damplifier pro is like 160 for 36" I think thats what it was but, I have seen other stuff that is less. Theres some stuff called fatmat on ebay that is about half the price for about the same amount of material. I just always wondered If there is a big difference between different brand names. SS Damp Pro is WAY thicker (i dont know the dimensions exactly) than fatmat from what i remember. cheaper isnt better when it comes to car audio.
