There is no such thing as under powering a sub. Being smart about it is what counts. Under power is that kills 45% of most subs. Over power kills about 35%. No break-in kill the rest. I say consider as you may be louder with the port facing back but you may not have enough room for the length of an aeroport facing back so technically a slot port would be better as it can be bent easier in the box to keep your port facing back and keep tuning.
