BeachJoshua Posted June 26, 2010 Report Posted June 26, 2010 Basically, it all started with the roof brace seperating from the roof... since then it's been falling apart, this all happened after putting in the system in my sig... 1. Roof brace broke off from roof... -solution: wooden 1 x 1 up the center of truck -face palm- 2. roof flex like hell makes noises -soltion: peel and seal -face palm- 3. Door handle screw falls out -solution: take off door panel find screw lodged in corner have to bend medal inside door to get it out, put it back in with loc tite this was the outside door handle by the way... forget the order thing I'm going off the top of my head now 4. Dash has gone to hell, got the truck with a small crack from the defrost vent... now have one coming from each corner towards front of dash and towards windshield. -solution: IDGAS... 5. EVERY DAMN THING MAKES NOISE IN MY TRUCK! --details: Since putting the roof brace in I still haven't put my headliner back in so my headliner is peel and seal, I had to leave my sun visors out because they make more noise than anything... my lil snappy things that hold my door panels on have dissapeared or become stripped, so now my door panels beat agains the doors... Somewhere something in the dash area is making some wierd ass noises but IDK what it is... Flex... all I had at first was nothing... then roof... now I have cab flex -__- my windshield moves a good 2 to 3 CM in and out... windshield wipers started bouncing today while goin down the interstate thought might be wind... nope stoplight same deal Back window looks to be flexing... honestly I think my whole cab is literally flexing in some way... I care and don't care... I care because it'd be nice to have it gone... Any time you have have a power wire next to your frame put some rubber hosing (or cut up an innertube) around it. The wire is bound to wiggle (due to driving or flex) and the casing will eventually wear through. Hammerdown... 1% no links to outside websites, business related FB/YT pages allowed.
