MIDS/HIGHS question...

I have a Sony xplod 4 channel 800w (75x4 RMS)

it has 50-300hz LPF/HPF, my question is SHOULD i have the HPF on if my headunit already has 80hz HPF set? or should I just turn the pass-freq on the amp off?

im running 4 6.5 Pioneer 4way 50RMS each. off of this.

Turn it off at the amp, the head unit's xover is much much better.

ok will do then another question is there a diagram to tune my mid/highs? I used the one on here for my subwoofer to tune with DMM I wondered if something similar existed to do 4 channels

its the same as for a subwoofer, but you tube it using 1khz instead of 50hz.

I did mine by ear, and have had no problems, other than water damage and a short to ground lol. But as far as overpowering goes Im fine.

I can do it by ear but I want everything match up when I have my volume up. I want to do it with a DMM if possible there should be a chart maybe?

What do you mean by match up? Like blend well? I dont see how a dmm would help in that situation because every steup is different. You cant just say "well if I have 1k on my subs, then I'll put 300 on my comps" and think it will blend.

Try adjusting it little by little and then play a song and see how well it blends. This is also where a bass knob works wonders
