that smell again

just started to work on my front stage in my truck. im going to put a pair of Rf components up front and amp it. ive set my sub gain with a dmm and never had that burning smell/ electrical smell. now im waiting to build spacers for my new components to fit and i decide to amp my crappy pioneers that are in at the moment. so im listing to my system at like 25 ( gains set to go as far as 28 ) and i start to smell that burinig smell. my voltage reads 14 - 13.5 at its lowest. now after amping my doors it smells at like 23 WTf. is it my crappy door speakers burning or my sub?

what song?? couldve just been the song you were playing. coulda been clipped. other than that when you smell the smell put ur nose at the speakers see if thats where it is or put ur nose at the port (if its a ported box)

i use decafs bass monster as my refernce never ever smelled befor i amped the doors. but ill try to smell the doors to.

Try to pinpoint where the smell is comin from. Youll get a better idea of where its comin from. Lol

well if im correct your putting more power to the speakers and they are just like subs where there is glue and coils so your just heating them up more then what they are used to happend to me with i amped my from stage speakers to it goes away after a day or two the glue just has to reset it self
