Texas Tech Posted July 23, 2007 Report Share Posted July 23, 2007 Well, for those of you that dont know what Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is i pasted info from wikipedia. is a martial art and combat sport that focuses on grappling and especially ground fighting with the goal of gaining a dominant position and using joint-locks and chokeholds to force an opponent to submit. Does anyone do this kind of fighting or watch it or anything. My friend is taking classes (2 a day) for this stuff and i have been watching it for a long time now. I am not taking the classes becuase i dont have time too everyday, but he teaches me what he learned and we usually fight for about 2 hours everyday for just practice. What provoked my friend to take these classes was that he got his ass kicked in a fight a little while back. There is some crazy stuff they do, and it is really fun to watch (I think) But anyways, I am jsut trying to learn as much as possible before i go to Tech for the fall, not cuz i want to fight someone, just its fun and interesting (I could never see myself getting in a serious fight like that) Quote Baylor University Accounting Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
