Also building a wall in my 2 door escort mk2. looking to break the 150 dB mark atleast before end of year. Running 2 starsound 15" and 2 x 1500d solars strapped. That way I will have the street A namibian record, street B namibian record and loudest street car in the country Level-g, your strapping the 1500d's right? what coil config are those SS woofers. Are you planning to run them at 0.5 ohm? LeVeL-G Posted October 25, 2006 Report Share Posted October 25, 2006 @Scratchy: I am currently running 2 Solar HX12 into the strapped 1500D @ 1ohm(.5 a piece). Final impedance on amps is 2Ohm so they only seeing 1 ohm each. Gives me about 1000 W a piece clean, well they only 1000W boards anyway.I set mine up with an amp clamp, multimeter and "sillyscope", so little chance of blowing them up. Burnt a few coils on the HX's but upgraded the basket a bit but getting stronger subs soon. Will do a impedance teest before running the subs full power. Amps put out 76V clean on the terminals if strapped. @Richard: Yes bru, i know you. about the XTC subs - i can't find a good price on the XTB's and i will be running Starsound woofers coz they cheap, i think it's the SSW381DVC's going for around R700 a piece.
