JBurt09
If you crimp properly, there's nowhere to put the solder. A correctly done hex-crimp will cold-weld the lug to the copper. BJD3
BOON!!YOU'RE ALIIIIVE!! So what would you suggest for maximum current transfer?A proper crimp, or an uncrimped soldered terminal? I'd like boon to chime in on this, but from what I've read, a properly done crimp is the BEST connection possible since its copper to copper. Solder adds resistance that a crimp doesn't have. But it has to be a properly done crimp. The kind you get using those hand crimpers aren't going to cut it. Between the weak crimp you get with those and a well done solder joint, the solder joint is going to be a better connection. Again, I'd like Boon to chime in here. He'll know better than I. Anti Peel and Seal...lol You may be offended by the above. Don't take it personally, I'm just abrasive. 2002 Buick Park Avenue DC Level 4 M2 12 D2 Car Audio Bargain 1600.1 Eclipse CD3200 ~2 cubes @ 34 hz.
