zayres29 Posted July 23, 2010 Report Posted July 23, 2010 is there any special designing that goes into a tunnel i was wondering if the length and the sides had anything to do with tuning i know some bandpass enclosures dont require as much internal volume for big speakers all the tunnels that i have seen the sides are just the length of the diameter of the speakers thanks Btw that was the first person. skittlesRgood Posted July 23, 2010 Report Posted July 23, 2010 the smaller it is, the more pressure builds up at the back of the tunnel. more pressure in the back means those subs move less. i think tuning could be a factor but i dont know anyone who has experimented with different tunnels in the same car, same equipment. so i cant know for sure.
