adam4563 Posted July 28, 2007 Report Posted July 28, 2007 ok so ive got the battery to alt and the battery to engine block but i cant find the engine block to chassis. ive got under my truck and looked under it all by the tranny and behind the engine bay and i cant find it. would it be alright if i only upgrade the the 2 that ive found since ive only got a stock 105 amp alt anyway or would it not be safe? if anyone know where it is i have a 1994 gmc sonoma. any help is apreciated! Guest MegaloManiac Posted August 2, 2007 Report Posted August 2, 2007 ok so im gonna put a fuse on the + line comin from the alt to the batt and since my alt is a 105 amp alt should i put in a 100 amp fuse or 120 amp fuse? you put the biggest fuse for that wire. a fuse on the wire is to protect the wire, thats it. so 0 awg you can either use a 250A or a 300A ( i forget which is it) i think there is a sticky wire and fuses
