I had Linux on here to dual boot, but I didnt want it any more so I got Partition magic and deleted the partitions, well it turns out that linux was the screen that let me choose which OS to load, linux or XP. Well when I restarted my computer to see if it deleted it right, it would come up as an error because linux wasnt there to let me choose the OS anymore. Well I installed XP where linux was to see if it would work, and now I get a screen to boot XP, or XP.... the second XP is the one that I need. My keyboard is wireless so it doesnt work till windows is loaded and it is defaulted to run on the first XP which has none of my files on it... Thus I need to plug in a ps2 keyboard so that I can choose which OS to load, but I wanted to delete that first XP and just have a regular boot up... Does anyone know how I can do this?

Damn Thiefs

try repairing windows XP and see if that helps. it is possible to repair xp while leaving all of your files/programs in tact. worth a shot

**use the xp cd after you have set the boot sequence to CDROM as top priority...that way you boot from disc
