Bring (2) 4 ohm Dual Voice to a 2 ohm on mono Amp

Recommended Posts

I have 2 Type 4 1242D Subs hooked up to 1 amp currently at 4ohm and its not enough power and I wont buy any more stuffs for this vehicle :)... I'm hoping there is a safe way to correctly wire (2) 12" Type-r (4ohm) Dual Voice together to bring them to 2 Ohm.

Thanks, Austin

You can wire them in parallel for a 1 ohm load, and series then parellel for a 4 ohm load, but not a 2 ohm load..
