How to??

Hey I've been working on my buddy's 2000 Dodge caravan and he has (2) 5 1/4 Speakers up in his dash and we replaced them but now there's a nasty gap around the speaker, i been looking how to mold plastic around there and basically re-make how the speaker fits there with plastic fiberglass.... Etc. but im not finding much, Maybe some one could redirect me to helpful videos.

i could possibly but the speakers sit lower then the dash cause it used to have a screen over the stock speakers so i'm tryin to raise them then mold somthing up... or any ideas?

fiberglass? Or that plastic that you put in hot water then mold? It comes in pellet form, probably not the best if it gets super hot inside the car though, I think they soften at 60 degrees C.

well i just decided to get some foam duct tape and 1/2 " mdf and I'm gonna shape the foam put duct tape over it and spray it with some silicon then fiber glass it. don't really care if it doesn't work... just experimenting. ill keep posted... if better ideas come to mind please let me know.
