smd 15"

//ok ive decided i wanna do a new build useing the smd 15" sub for a boot install and fire it through..

ill be useing a soundstream 4000d amp (4000wrms at 1ohm) good idea yes or no? (im in australia and it the cheapest amp of that power range i can find $1500) it will be a daily driver between 30min and 1hour twice a day altho it probly wont be full volume all the way but most..

what would be better ordering the sub at dual 1 or dual 2 ohm or what would you do?

Dual 2 so you get a 1 ohm final load (if you're only using 1 sub)and if your budget is $1500, you could get something nicer, but not at 4000RMS. I mean, you could get like, a Sundown 3500, Crescendo 3000, etc but seeing as you're in AUS, I'd contact the manufacturers first. I'm sure Jacob could hook you up!

so soundstream amps no good? only cause any other amps i look at are nice price but time convert money over and postage it cost fair bit..

would the smd 15 handle 4000wrms all day?

rofl would the smd handle 4k all day.. Meade said the 3500 rating is a joke and they could take 6k+ all day every day.
