Flint_810 Posted August 3, 2010 Report Posted August 3, 2010 whats going on ppl? i currenty have 1 15" BTL looking to upgrade to two soon. i was wondering which amps would be better to hook up to them. one crescendo3k, put one audioque2200 on each sub? or just go with the audioque3500 for both subs? i'll appreciate all you guys comments thanks!!! white4d96 Posted August 3, 2010 Report Posted August 3, 2010 It depends a lot on box size, port area/tuning IIRC. I would think a 2200 per would be plenty, then again I've never even seen a BTL in person so take my advice with a grain of salt. Too many projects, too little time...

EricR Posted August 4, 2010 Report Posted August 4, 2010 I would go with the 2 2200's, that will yeild the most power I believe. i was thinking leave the 12 sitting in the box in the hole and duck tape from the bottom of the sub to the bottom of the baffle so the sub doesnt free air. would that work?

If it's for example a 2ohm sub, then you would want 2 amps running at 1 ohm each or 2 ohm strapped (4 2ohm coils can produce .5ohm or 2ohm). If the sub is 1 ohm then you would want one amp (4 1ohm coils can produce 1ohm).
