in the market for a new h/u

Recommended Posts

well i just got a new car, and id really like to put in a touch screen headunit. right now im stuck between alpine and pioneer. i currently have a pioneer premier that im going to reinstall for the time being. im trying to keep it under 800, navigation isnt ABSOLUTELY necessary, but i know with some of the non navigation ones, you can buy basically an adapter thatll make it navigation compatible .

right now im looking at:

http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_19637_Pioneer+AVIC-U310BT.html

(being able to take the screen out is a plus for antitheft deterrent)

any other suggestions would be appreciated

i would get the alpine, bc you said navi isn't a requirement, i wouldn't get the 299 pioneer though, if your going to get a screen you might as well get a big one

surprisingly at least to me, the alpine is cheaper on crutchfield, so as long as it stays that way im going to pick that one up in the near future i think
