Amplifier Phase Variable Switch Issue's

Ok, so just for example, on a Sundown Amp, the PHASE tuning switch, iv heard this either, A, "makes the sounds from the subs reach you when the door speakers do" , or B, "IS FOR ONLY, when u invert the subs in the box", Or C, Switches Polarity From the amp to the woofers, I just want a legit answer for what it exactly does, and is it the same for every amp more or less, please let me know, thanks alot for your time..

most amps do not have this switch, most amps have 0 and 180, what you have is a 3 phase selective switch and should be used accordingly to what your manual says dependent on your setup...

but if the amp has only a 0 and 180, then its dependent on the inverting of the subs most inverted subs require a 180 which turns the polarity around, but if lets say you have one sub inverted, and the other is standard, then you leave it at 0 and flip the wires on the inverted subs backwards..

so that it will move the cone in the same direction

alls you have to do for inverted woofers is just switch the + and - for polarity, simple as that, but i heard it doesnt even matter...
