dugee81 Posted August 6, 2010 Report Posted August 6, 2010 if you dont plan on upgrading soon, a kinetik hc800 in the rear would suffice IMO Quote 200a alt. by Excessive Amperage hc800 under hood & 2 Deka 9a31 in rear 1/0awg + big 3 SAZ 3000D HDC3 18" @ 2 ohm
typicaljawaiian Posted August 6, 2010 Report Posted August 6, 2010 Isn't mixing old batts w/ new bad? You bring the new battery to the same state as the old one when you mix. So eventually you'll have 2 batterys at whatever point the "stock battery" is at. I live off grid solar and never mix old batteries w/ new ones. In other words if your stock batt is 50% good then your 100% new battery will be brought down to the stock 50% in a very short period of time. Quote
typicaljawaiian Posted August 6, 2010 Report Posted August 6, 2010 I'm in desperate need of at least 2 batteries but I will wait until I can afford both rather than buy one at a time Quote
Emoxihax Posted August 7, 2010 Author Report Posted August 7, 2010 so should I kick my stock and replace it with a better battery for now? Quote 2004 Volkswagen GLI 1 10" Skar VVX ^^^ Looking for an amp to run it, Pm me if you have one ^^^
Emoxihax Posted August 7, 2010 Author Report Posted August 7, 2010 I was thinking about replacing my stock battery with a kinetik hc1200(looks like the measurements are pretty much the same) would this be a wise choice or a dumb one? dugee81 Posted August 7, 2010 Report Posted August 7, 2010 I have a hc1400 under my hood, does work man! I would suggest doing it. Quote 200a alt. by Excessive Amperage hc800 under hood & 2 Deka 9a31 in rear 1/0awg + big 3 SAZ 3000D HDC3 18" @ 2 ohm
