EclipseChris Posted October 3, 2010 Author Report Share Posted October 3, 2010 so this is the second header youve put in this car? how easy are they to switch out? i might not mind doing that to the civic when i get it back if its not too pricey whats it do exactly? my knowledge comes to bass not engines the only car part ive switched out are my headlights haha Umm this was my first header i have put on, but i have put on manifolds many many times. As for this car i took the cracked stock off and put this on so no this isn't the second. I don't think its very hard but thats because there are a few tricks i know to make life a lil easier. The whole experience cost me exactly $60 and 3 hours of a saturday. I have noticed a little better throttle response but also a very high idle. (idle problem not a direct result of the header its from something else) If headlights are the only thing you have done i would recommend not doing it because there is some area that can potentially need creativity which needs experience. i resolve to be a nicer moderator. I got a decent amount of shit for that, and its not gonna be just a batt holder its the back of the box i need to build. Header is from ebay, it was the cheapest one i could find and it kinda showed. The cuts were kinda crappy and the O2 sensor interfered with the rad fan. I pulled the rad fan and now just have to be paranoid. Might get metered this week at Ed's if i'm lucky. Ya gatta remember i was expecting to pay 2500 on a civic and i got this for 2000 so i had a 500 head start already. I also got a few hell ovva deals from a few awesome people on here and that was just the luck of the draw. Literally got like 60 ft of 0 gauge for free. But if i get this job ima be really happy because Ed has a sub for sale i want, someone offered to sell an AQ that i want, and i wanna start on the doors. Then i gatta plan more for the mids in the back all after i build the box Kit designed for me. Sub 200 Amp 220 Doors 250 Not including the possible entire trans i need to replace/repair. Shit has pretty much hit the fan and all i can do is cover my mouth. Im really hoping on this second job... i resolve to be a nicer moderator. Tercel build R.I.P.
