Alex K Posted August 11, 2010 Report Posted August 11, 2010 There's a chart on here somewhere, maybe someone will post it. you need a DMM and a 50 hrz test tone. you play the tone, then adjust the gain until your voltage matches the voltage reccomended on the chart, then back off the gain a tad. In reality though, a o-scope would be a lot better, but a DMM will do the job, it just can't detect that clipped signal. 2006 Nissan Z Track. Guest Posted August 11, 2010 Report Posted August 11, 2010 theres the diagram they're talking about. make sure you have ALL your settings on the headunit/mp3 player/amp EVERYTHING on 0 or off (including LOUD etc) before you pop in the cd and change your settings. so put your dmm on the speaker outputs (with headunit turned up 3/4 of the way, if your speakers distort at that volume then you can turn the bass level down a few notches if you like) then turn the gain up until you reach about 35 volts AC. then set the LPF to about 80hz and you are done.
