Clipping an amp

So I set my gains with an o-scope. I play a 50Hz @ 0dB signal, my "bass knob" is all the way up and I have my vol where I like it.

So I set the amps just below clipping....at 50Hz. Out of curiosity I wanted to see what the o-scope showed as I go down in freq. What I got was that at just about every freq I tried, all the way down to 20Hz....I was getting clipping. Whats the deal?

Is there something I am not doing right?

Why would I set my gain at 3/4? I set my gain just under clipping on my HU. I was always under the impression that you should set your amp gains with the bass knob all the way up

Bass boost on my amp?

Here what I did.

Turn "Bass Knob" all the way up

Set HU to just under clipping

Set amp gain to just under clipping

Set Bass Boost on the amp to just under clipping. (dont get much out of this one but just a hair of a turn.

your going to have a box rise change at every frequency. as it looks most likely lower rise at the frequencies you were trying
