The Kinetic 3 post 16 volt batteries have to be charged through the 16 volt side of the battery @ 19.2 volts, which would mean that you would have to increase the vehicle's charging voltage to 19.2 volts. They are using the 12v side non of them have aftermarket alts and the voltage is great... but ill take the batts out 1 by 1 today and check voltage to see if they aren't as good as the 2400s. Thats why all the guys around here use them. Sorry to pop your bubble... Im aware that you would blow the batt or something if you ran 16v off a 12v alt. Thats not what im doing im running 12v on a 12v.
