thecityxignites Posted August 17, 2010 Report Share Posted August 17, 2010 i am ordering a dc power high output alternator for my 2001 cavalier. stock alternator is 105 amps. just wondering if new alternator will mess up anything with my electrical? 2001 chevy cavalier Rebuild in progress what happens when your CD player skips and you accidentally drop a 22 hz sine bomb at an unholy volume on 7-8 year old subs? Mechanical failure floppy sub knockage on at least 2. well...as i see the level 6 is compared to a lamborghini.....but a corvette? i was thinking more like a chevy volt. its cute and new and "hip", but i would just rather stick my dick in a blender......... bassl0va Posted August 17, 2010 Report Share Posted August 17, 2010 If you install it right it will be fine. It is just a high current alt, meaning it can supply more power than the stock one. It probably has a slightly higher voltage too. It's only you went to a 16v charging system then you would need to change stuff.
