just wondering if its hazardous to my wires health if i run it under the car rather than threw the firewall. keep in mind i have cold winter's don't know if that makes much of a difference.

its recommended to cover it all in a mesh or pvc pipe and use grommets where you drill through the car if you had to.cold winter might have effect on wires but if so it will be the same effect as to your amp and sub inside all you gotta do is play 1/4 volume-ish to begin with let it warm up a little bit

I don't fuck around. I go from zero to I hope you die in less than 2 posts

how would wire be affected by the cold? sure it MAY be brittle but its not gonna be moving in a car.

k thanks didn't know if the jacket would freeze or something. i'm able to run the wire threw my frame nice big opening on either side to undercoat. so should be safe from debris just didn't know about weather conditions.

brittle is not a good thing when it can expose a live wire. and its not going to be in the car its going under.

i understand that its going underneath the car...my point still stands. those PVC jackets they use on wire can withstand something around -40 to 200F so i think itll be fine.

its going in a 2010 cobalt. now -40 is that with or without a wind chill factor? we've have beyond -50 with a windchill. grant it not often like where my dad is. so if -40 is there limit i should run it in the car. just would have been easier going under.

just run the wires through the firewall. alot of cars have predrilled holes in the firewall that are plugged with a rubber grommet (for a clutch for example)
