Jville140db
Hi Nathan I made the post a few days ago about the 2nd battery just wondering as i have decided on the d680. However my front battery is an optima yellow top will this cause any problems using the 680 as the 2nd battery. I bought the optima less than a few months ago and i never really used it and I dont wanna give up a new battery. I wanna put a d2400 under the hood but I dont have the money for that. Will the optima and the 680 be ok together. Thanks for the help in advance. Nathan @ XSpower
I would never recommend to mix batteries of different chemistry, but in the short term you should be ok.

Nathan @ XSpower
If the vehicle is driven daily they will work together better than if it is stored for a while. If the vehicle sits without being driven for a while then they will start to fight each other.
