Rockbrook Posted August 24, 2010 Report Posted August 24, 2010 ok so i currently have 4 12's but i want to upgrade to either 2 15's or maybe 1 or 2 18's for my REAL build. my trunk is 18.6 cubic feet what do you guys think will fit in there best and sound best? p.s. im thinking about removing the rear speakers and porting through tha deck lid

I know the trunk of that impala is a lot bigger than that Mazda 6. Rockbrook Posted August 24, 2010 Author Report Posted August 24, 2010 i Dont have ANY electrical upgrades at the moment but they are coming first. as for budget, i'll say $200-$350ish for subs. maybe more, depends if i go with one 18 or the 2 15's and this is all in the planning stage right now. im almost ready to start moving forward with this build. im gonna try and get this 200 amp OhioGen alt. for $200 soon as cash is available, then after that probably headunit and door speakers. Edit: and yea i know 2 18's could fit but i'd have to wall it, and i aint wallin my bitch lol. this is gonna be a daily driver.

I will tell you that having a solid electrical system is the backbone of an audio system. cubs_fan0718 Posted August 24, 2010 Report Posted August 24, 2010 I have an 06 Impala with one BTL 18 in the trunk, its in the minimum required box and it takes up the whole entire trunk. So it is possible but you will have a fun time mounting amps and getting your batterys in there also. With my 18 it had to be placed in the box before it could go in the trunk. If you still wanna go that route i say awesome but, you might be happier going with 2 beefy 12's or 15's. The 12's you could fit 2 in there no problem.
