kogwanted
So my subs were smelling bad so I took them to a local shop and had them adjust the settings on my headunit and amp and got it back and it sounded better than ever but I was driving home later tonight and I wasn't. Going full out but loud enough to feel and of course the dreadful smell of voice coil I smell so I turn it down and when I got home I checked them and they weren't smoking or anything so I feel them and one is warmer than the other what should I do or how could I fix

S Dime 420
what kind of subs and amp do you have? you might be clipping them or overpowering em. sounds like your burning up the coils. if that's the case you can send it to a speaker fixer or buy a re-cone for it. Robert8252
Turn your gain down on your amp. Hopefully you haven't fried a voice coil yet and you'll be ok. It's really the only advice anyone can give you. slim2fattycake
Its been 10 minutes. You didn't have any new info anyways. Get a DMM and check your wiring. Do some work. None of us are there to test your equipment or see how your settings are set. We can only go off what you say.
