engine sound in speakers

when i turn the volume on my deck down or off I can hear a dentist drill sound as I press the gas pedal. gets louder the more I push. like a ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ sound. When I turn the deck off it goes away. It doesnt bother me at all I am just wandering if its causing harm to anything

Bad ground or RCA's by power wire.

No it wont hurt anything, but its being caused by a bad ground or bad pair of rcas. Recheck or redo all grounds, remember to sand to bare metal on the terminal, and the sheet metal. If you have cheap rcas, you can replace those too. I know my cheap rcas were causing that high pitch noise, all I did was replaced with good ones and it stopped. If you have a pioneer headunit, those are known to have grounding problems with the rca terminals. Just redo everything. You can normally tell if its a rcas problem if the problem increases or stops with you fidget with the rcas on the amp.

Its your RCA's. I dont know if its harmful to anything, but it is sure annoying. Change them and run them away from your power wire next time, if thats where you did run them.
