Strapping amps

Is it at all harmful or will it cut life to strap amps down to say a .25 load or even a .5 load. you may call me a fool! but i just dont know!

and another question what kind of electrical would it take for those loads, i would like to possibly be "set up " if i were to decide thats the route i would want to take.

Depends what amp. Only a bunch don't mind .5 and I don't even know if there are any that will do .25 on anything other than a burp. I don't really know about doing it for daily, it's mostly done for burps.

You need pretty good electrical so you don't screw your amp.

ya i been thinking about .5 but i was curious where people saw any one use .25 lol... but say i had 2 Saz 4500 and 2 4000rms subs would it make a difference wether i had 2 2 ohms on strapped amps versus using just 2 1 ohm and wiring each one parrelel for .5 each... it seems the same i mean i guess strapped "sounds" cool lol but idk.

If that's what you have and you are just doing a daily system I'd sugget just wiring each amp at 1 ohm and leaving it at that. Even then you will need good electrical for two saz4500s. Yeah, it does sound cool, unfortunately if you are talking to some retard that thinks his sonys are louder then they won't have any idea any way and will add up the numbers on their amps and say they have 8000 watts too. Lol

Daily and spl major daily though and I have already figured 2 270 xps an 2 batteries for each amp all connected id like to get the most out of my amp that's why I'm asking but I don't want major volt drops. Idk maybe it's enough

With two 270A alt. And two batts per amp I'm sure you could get away with 0.5ohms. Especially with impedance rise.

Wait for other people to post and see what they say. I vote for 0.5 ohms, preferably from a dual 1 ohm sub per amp (not strapped) but you could strap it I guess (although you'd have to make sure you don't strap it to 0.25 ohms)

Haha ya I wouldnt do .25 I was just curious. It be a bit o a mistake.
