Chamois
I have a 15" custom enclosure sitting in my garage, but its tuned to 30hz .. Would this be okay to use with a 15" AQ SDC2.5? Just until i buy the other woofer, and build a box .. I just dont wanna damage the woofer .. I can always knock out the Bend in my port, to raise the tuning a little bit, right? memphisbasshead
i would try it out with the box tuned to 30 hz and see how you like it and if you don't then tune the box higher. Chamois
Can i damage the woofer though? My box only picks up the Low Lows, I wanna pick up more freq Quote 2006 Saab 9-3 2.0T
Playa Named Joe
Try it out. But AQ subs don't really like the low low lows. They like mid to high 30s if not in the 40s. I think it'd sound good and just don't put a lot of power to it, to be safe if you don't want to damage it. Chamois
I'll play it on my AQ1200D but it will be getting like 850 watts at 2ohms .. So should I knock out the bend in my port? It should raise it to 34hz about .. Maybe higher .. Quote 2006 Saab 9-3 2.0T
Chamois
Well Should I go with a diff brand sub? I wanna hit Good lows for a daily setup, but not extremely low, just like box tuning of 36hz Quote 2006 Saab 9-3 2.0T
IH8PunkRok
i think you are far too worried. just put the sub in the box and listen to it. you can tell if things are going to go wrong Quote -Matt2005 Dodge Magnum RTJVC KD-AVX1 2 PPI S580.2 Obsidian Audio ST1 Horn Tweeters PRV 8MB450s Audio Legion 3500.1D 2 RE MT 18s 360 ah LiFePO4 BatterySHCA 2/0 155.2 @ 29 hzKicker CVR 15's buildDD 3512e buildMini T-Line Build(6) 8s BuildNightshade 15s Wall BuildMagnum AB XFL 12s BuildNewest Magnum Build
Chamois
Yeah but will those subs still be hitting lows since my box is gonna be like 36-38hz? Quote 2006 Saab 9-3 2.0T
Robert8252
The sdcs FS are in the low 30s. I think you should be fine. My brother is tuning his 12" sdcs to 33 and we think they should sound great. The HDCs need higher tuning but the SDCs IIRC I've seen a handful atleast of sdcs tuned low on here with no issues Quote 2013 F150 Crew Cab Old Build Log Feedback 2013 F150 Equipment - Some Awesome Stereo Sound Making Stuff
