I'm googling the crap out of this but can't find why you want to keep your stock wiring. I'm not saying it's wrong that you should keep it just trying to figure out why? The bigger wire will have less resistance so wouldn't electric always want to go that way anyways? Your still connecting point a to b. Can someone just give me a link why you keep it or tell me why you keep it? I'd like to remove the stock wiring for a little bit cleaner install but if I shouldn't I'm fine with that just trying to find out why.

electricity takes the path of least resistance. that is what i have read time and time again. i ASSUME its because if one wire gets hot, more electricity can flow through the cooler wire and vice versa. but i dont know otherwise, just stick with what EVERYONE says.
