THEKINGsBACK
Well i was looking in to purchasing new subs but i thought to myself i have to perfectly good motors from my old dc level 3's soo i am going to get them done my question is that i wanna beef em up a lil prob to take around a 1200 watts a piece as they are goin to be run by an orion 2500d i know this amp has the ability to make around 2800 watts so i wanna see if this is an idea that could work. i know that ied need to make em dual 1 subs to get a 1 ohm load due to rise inside the box and what not but what other things do i need to do to the subs to make this possible. or is it even possible Quote he wouldnt be the first to say they did a 167 with a system like that (one that clearly DOESNT), but i have to say, he didnt beat me anywhere, ive never competed against the guy. If he thinks his does a 167, mine would probably put him in a coma. :hairtrick:
Noobtastic14
You have to think of woofers as drag cars. The magnets of the woofer are like the size of the drag tires and the amount of power/coil could be considered the size of the engine. Your 3s are rated 600w for a reason because the "engine" will just spin the "tires" without going anywhere. I would say get two more 3s and run four lvl 3s for full SPL potential -Drew Quote I am a United States Military Arts and Crafts Professional.
