Red-navi-916 Posted September 3, 2010 Report Posted September 3, 2010 i axctually did a install on a 03 but it was the bigger motor one then mine, the one that comes with a stock amp and i had that same problem, i just connected wires together and got it to work.. but when i did my 02 it was easy since it does not come with a stock amp... but yeah the stock amp under the rear deck lid has to be working for the speakers to work, took me like 4 hours to figure it out BUILDLOG http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/ind...showtopic=61862 "98crewcab"Never a POS....just always "a work in progress" lol that's how we roll bitches!!! Red-navi-916 Posted September 3, 2010 Report Posted September 3, 2010 ahh i see yeah mine is teh lower version of that one with the smaller motor(i guess) and yeah there is a wire that powers the amp up and its hooke dup like this, it goes the wires from the deck to the wire harness, and then from the wire harness to the amp and from the amp the signal goes to the speakers. so you have to find out which wire powers that little amp, i totally forgot sorry bro, but try googling it i was kind of connecting wire by wire until i got it right, its a PITA edit: also could be what T-money said...because i hooked the pink wire up and my car didnt wanna start lol, so try that if your car doesnt start then disconnect it lol BUILDLOG http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/ind...showtopic=61862 "98crewcab"Never a POS....just always "a work in progress" lol that's how we roll bitches!!!
