pheint_1
Ok guys here's the thing i already asked this question over on CACO and scottiej helped me out but i guess I'm still in denial or just don't want to except it even if i get flamed on because i already got an answer from a very reputable guy I'm still gonna ask it , if i went with an XS D3100 in the back and stock Non-AGM battery in the front, 2 Runs(Pos/Neg) Of KNU OFC 1/0 front battery to back battery, Big 3 And Stock 105 Alternator would i have trouble keeping a decent voltage(low to mid 13's) for an AP 3K??? or do i just flat out need to start with a H/O Alternator? Guest DC Power Kyle
Don't mix AGM with wet cell. It's not good for the batteries. I would very much recommend a high output alternator as you'll be pulling close to 200~ amps easily.
skittlesRgood
at 1ohm i would think you'll be ok, low 13s for sure, if not worse. .5ohm, you will need more. Guest DC Power Kyle
Well as skittles said... depends on your standards for voltage. Personally I would upgrade, but you'll see low 13s probably. But don't do wet cells. Oh, and Optima = BAD!
pheint_1
alright guess i can't avoid the H/O alt , unless what if instead of the stock batt upfront i got an XS D3400 in there, or is it to much strain on the alt???? Guest DC Power Kyle
get the biggest battery you can fit up front. Just make sure to maintain the battery with a battery charger (like an xs power charger until you can afford a alternator.

MECHMAN
What is the make/model/year/engine of your vehicle? Not all 105 amp alternators are created equal. For example, a large case Bosch 105 amp unit will blow away a Mitsubishi unit, especially at idle.
