audio?? Posted August 11, 2007 Author Report Posted August 11, 2007 yea but id rather not take my chances with the l7's
KickerAudio21 Posted August 15, 2007 Report Posted August 15, 2007 Don't listen to all these people saying they blow their L7's left and right.... they obviously never took the time to learn how to set the gain right or run the right equipment (with the exception of serious competitiors) I have a 15 (the 2006 style) in my car and it's not only the loudest sub in my town, it has the best SQ of any setup i've ever heard. I'm using two flared percision ports, with 5.5 cubes, crx style box, and a hifonics 1206d amp. It is an SQ setup (opted for more restricted, flared ports which puts me on the border line for vent mach, but hits really low and clear) But my main point is that if you know what you are doing an L7 is a very loud and well built sub for the price ($240 shipped online). I have gotten first in many comps hitting about 143dB @ 32 hz!!!! (that is loud for 32 hz) here's a video of mine the day I got it before it was broken in (not much roof flex thanks to 5 layers of dynamat extreme everywhere) http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-2269021666746360262 ------------------------------------------------- 1st place circuit city car/spl show (maplewood,MN) 2006 146.6 dB's with 2 12" L7 and 1606d brutus
audio?? Posted August 15, 2007 Author Report Posted August 15, 2007 ill just have to do more research on them i guess, ive heard good and bad things about them
+ZER0Hz+ Posted August 16, 2007 Report Posted August 16, 2007 Here's your research: L7's = Bad Anything Fi = Good; I honestly think that a 15 Q Could beat the shit out of 2 15L7's Look into other brands... Kicker is probably the most overpriced company that uses their name to get money. The only other company that is more overpriced than Kicker is JL. But atleast with JL you get SQ. 1 Fi Q run by a Memphis MClass 1200x1 @ 1 ohm.......imho 2009 VW Rabbit 2-Door: Pioneer AVH-X1600DVD Kicker CX600.1 (Kicker "Certified" 638wrms@2ohm) NVX VCW124 @2 Ohm, ~1.25 ft^3 Sealed box Stock Doors; (4) 6.5's, (2) 4's, (4) 1" Tweets Owner/Founder of RT Photography Canon Traitor who moved to Fujifilm
slim8605 Posted August 16, 2007 Report Posted August 16, 2007 2 15L7's would murder ONE 15 Q! Two Q's is a different story 1998 Toyota Camry XLE V6Goldwood GW-S650/4 6.5sEA 200a alt2009 Lancer GTSStock
Storm8300 Posted August 16, 2007 Report Posted August 16, 2007 I personally dont like the L7s why i got rid of them. CVX are a lot better. Anything by Mmats would be a good choice, like the P3.0s or anything form Fi

I dont feel like looking up the prices right now, but im pretty sure that the Fi option is quicker than the L7's. 2009 VW Rabbit 2-Door: Pioneer AVH-X1600DVD Kicker CX600.1 (Kicker "Certified" 638wrms@2ohm) NVX VCW124 @2 Ohm, ~1.25 ft^3 Sealed box Stock Doors; (4) 6.5's, (2) 4's, (4) 1" Tweets Owner/Founder of RT Photography Canon Traitor who moved to Fujifilm

They do not stand behind their products & their customer service is horrible. They do not actually manufacture lowering springs, they drop ship them from Spring Tech. Chasistech.com also does business as Airbagit.com, Streetridepro.com & Truckinsuspension.com. They are all the same company! Do not trust these bastards! Their products are cheap & more often than not, you don't get what you actually order in the first place! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!
