yes that would work, remember it works off the ground line NOT the +12v line so take that into account

and it will work on any radio line although i suggest hooking it up to the BASS rca line also known as the subwoofer out

no its a 3 point hookup

and ground of the attached lights

so instead of grounding the lights out to the chassis you ground them to this box

this is a passive unit BTW, it draws no power untill it receives a rca signal and then at that point its about a .01mw draw

what voltage led's can it power?

its rated for up to 40v but the voltage of the LEDS should be based off your charging voltage of your car or whatever you will be hooking this device into
