so i get home and i hook it up and theres a loud high pitched humming noise, and the amp wants to go into protect very ver easy. gain is all the way down and bass and stuff on head unit is all the way down, IDK what is wrong with it, maybe my grounding point? was my first thought but ive used that same ground point with like 5 other amps and none of the noise ever.

try a ground loop isolator and make sure the ground connection is secure and theres no rust, or paint between the conenction. and yes that amp is stable down to 2 ohm.

try to avoid the infamous ground loop isolator at all costs. See what you can do before getting 1 of those.

i think i may havwe my subs wired wrong, only other thing i can think that might cause it, to go into protect like it does.

The amp can handle 1 ohm daily no problem - so as long as you are not going below that you should be good.

The amp also goes into protect to "protect" itself from shorts in the system. I'd check the woofers - meter them and make sure they measure good. Also chk the ground again and all of your wires.

An easy way to tell if it's the amp is to put another amp in it's place for a couple minutes and see what happens... if all is well then you know it's probably the amp.
