Yeah.. I have a couple newbie questions..

What's the difference between roundwire and flatwound coils?

What's the difference between 4 layer and 8 layer coils?

What's the advantage of an extended voicecoil?

What's the advantage of having dual leads besides being able run more power?

What's the best coil option for SQ?

If anybody in the Sacramento area has a vehicle for sale for less than $1,500 get at me. I'm open to almost anything that runs.

Well wire shape for one, round is round and flat is flat (rectangular), but I think the idea is that you can put more power through the flat wire as there is more area than the round wire.

It probably affects the T&S specs in some way, but I don't know exactly how.

More linear excursion (provided the magnet is deep enough, which it will be in a quality sub)

More options for wiring the subs. And it will also change some of the T&S numbers.

Depends, you have to have a good SQ driver in the first place, and a box that matches the sub very well, and a nice sounding amp.
