And is this a good idea? I ran the power wire for the LEDs off of my remote wire from my head unit. And the ground is coming straight from my battery. Is this good or should I run the power wire from the battery also? Or at least my fuse block for my amp?

im pretty sure its car voltage eg 14.6 - led voltage 3.2 then divide by amperage so divide by .2 or whatever. and well if you hook it up to remote it will be on every second your head unit is. run it straight from battery with a small fuse hooked up to a switch is how id do it

I don't fuck around. I go from zero to I hope you die in less than 2 posts

Try a 330ohm resistor, you can get them from Radio Shack for $1 for 5

take baby steps, u cant do it all at once unless u have a roll of 100's big enough to choke a donkey

So I should run it straight from the battery and through a small fuse? What about resistors? I bought the 470 ohm resistors and the LEDs won't even light up. I'm guessing its because the resistor is too big. Someone told me I should try a 140 ohm would that be too small?

So do you think the 470's were too big cuz the lights wouldn't even come on. I'm also using the rectangular LEDs because Radio Shack was out of the round ones which I'm used to.
