  1. 1. What would you pick for the best Loud and Low

    • 4 18" DC LvL 4 XL's on 2 Crescendo 3kWP or 3-4k amp
    • 2 18" Fi BTLs Fully Loaded on 2 Crescendo 3kWP ( or the new Neo Fi's if they are in production by then)
    • 3 21" IA DP on 3 Crescendo 3kWP or 3 AQ 2200, or 3 2-2.5k amp
    • 6 15" Fi BL's on 3 Crescendo 3kWP or 3 AQ 2200, or 3 2-2.5k amp

Just so you know these will all be going in a 1998 Chevy Venture Van. Will have upgrade alternator in the front, as close to 400A as humanly possible with one alt. Big 3 Upgrade, 4-6 runs of 1/0g to the back, Somewhere around 3-4 Kinetik or XS 2000 in the back, and something around a 1400 under the hood. Mids and Highs are still undecidedbut I have a few ideas of what I am gonna do.

My question is which one of the following ideas will yield the highest SPL. I love the lows, and would like to build a box that's tuned to around 30Hz.

The setups so far are:

1) 4 18" DC LvL 4 XL's on 2 Crescendo 3kWP or 3-4k amp 1,039 sq in

2) 2 18" Fi BTLs Fully Loaded on 2 Crescendo 3kWP ( or the new Neo Fi's if they are in production by then) 1,017 sq in

3) 3 21" IA DP on 3 Crescendo 3kWP or 3 AQ 2200, or 3 2-2.5k amp 508 sq in

4) 6 15" Fi BL's on 3 Crescendo 3kWP or 3 AQ 2200, or 3 2-2.5k amp 1,060 sq in

I know the Fi's prob won't be the loudest but its just for the price and power I can give them the most power, my main suggestion is the 3 21" IA DP

My main goal is gonna try to be able to hit 155+, which should be very reachable, but I want my box to be tuned very low like 30Hz so I can do some great demos and hair tricks

take baby steps, u cant do it all at once unless u have a roll of 100's big enough to choke a donkey

if you tune to 35 you can still hit the lows, and demolish the 40hz range... which hurts people :)

Will do as soon as I can sell my current set-up.

Ya I like the low lows, I mean I have given a few demos, and it freaks the people out when they start to shake, and they see my steering wheel and shifter start to flex. I like to peak at around 40Hz, my T-Lines and Type R's peaked at 39Hz

Is that 155 on music?

We did it with 4 BTL15s and 10kw from anywhere from 30-45hz.

Id like to have all my readings to be over 155, atleast the ones from 35Hz-40Hz. I mean all readings like my peak, on music, window down, door open. Just mainly to be loud in a wide range of setings

I voted the 6 15's. Most cone area and you will have 1500 going to each sub if you get the 3 3kwp's.

i was thinking leave the 12 sitting in the box in the hole and duck tape from the bottom of the sub to the bottom of the baffle so the sub doesnt free air. would that work?

See this is what i was thinking, and it would be the cheapest sub wise, and the amps wouldn't be that bad, I mean I may try 1 Stetsom 7k2e 1ohm it would be cheaper then 3 Crescendos

Moved to proper section. And why do you want high numbers when you want lows? There's builds out there that don't meter shit but damn do they kill you. Pick one.

What section was it in, I thought it was in Member Builds already. I want to be able to hit the mid 150s, but I also want a system that can hit some good lows. I don't mean like constantly be able to beat 21Hz, but like peak high 30/low 40s, but move the massive air from the low 30Hz notes

It was in the member build section. This isn't a build log. But id go with like 6 15" IA DP or Sundown Z v.2 off 3 saz3500. That'd do the trick ;) those new DP are soooooo sexy and very impressive.
