Carroot1 Posted October 6, 2010 Author Report Posted October 6, 2010 this is the best you'd get idk if the port area is too small tho, 36.75in^2 sorry the port is two wide. The only way we are going to have to build is to fit the triangle from our back seats to get the extra area so basically we will build it with one common wall, just a question is more cu per sub better if you are under powering a sub? Bumpin the TWP Posted October 6, 2010 Report Posted October 6, 2010 (edited) yes use about 2.25 ft^3 per sub with lower levels EDIT: or less Edited October 6, 2010 by Bumpin the TWP Quote 2x Sundown Audio SA-15's nuff said for my little old car 1999 Plymouth Breeze Build Log

bassfiend316 Posted October 6, 2010 Report Posted October 6, 2010 (edited) What about sub up/port back? I dunno what car, what you want, etc. so it may not work for you, just an idea. If everything won't fit on one side, use two sides lol. Edit-bigger box with less power--more airspace means less cone control, so less power counteracts that. small boxes have better cone control, letting you overpower it and still be (somewhat) safe. Carroot1 Posted October 6, 2010 Author Report Posted October 6, 2010 I'm not sure... i always over power my subs lol im feedin about 450-500 rms each to my sa 12s which are underrated and can probably take 1k each and still be fine, but im not guna risk anything. Im guna build a box with zero common walls and ill let you know if 3 is the lucky number Quote
Skullz Posted October 6, 2010 Report Posted October 6, 2010 You could go with 2 4" pvc ports between the subs but not sure if its enough port area for those subs, will this box be sealed from the trunk? The reason i ask is you can port off axis firing from the side into the trunk. Quote 01 Ford focus ZX3 Pioneer AVH-X491BHS PPI PC 4800.2 Morel Maximo 6.5" x2
