Maxim
How much power are you running? What amps and at what ohms? Quote wtf is lolcats? I'd def get a fat hooker if i had to resort to that kinda thing. I feel like they'd be grateful and work harder. Also its more bang for my buck, more real estate for my dollar if you catch my drift. its like the Costco of streetwalkers. I was hoping for 150 . skittlesRgood
1200w / 14v = 85.7amps / 70%efficiency = 122amps that your car needs to supply your sub amp. your car should be using 70-80% of your stock alts output so add that number to the amount of power you need. if you got a 250 amp alt you probably wouldnt need extra batteries. Dub7Banger
1200w / 14v = 85.7amps / 70%efficiency = 122amps that your car needs to supply your sub amp. Question i've had some time now. I know you can't mix 12v/14v/16v, I know you need a special charging setup for 16v, but, what about 14v? Do you have to have a alt that charges at 14v? Or can you just replace all your 12v bats with 14v batts Quote Warning, you are taking advice from a noob with 0 install experience at this point, any advice I give is strictly based on information gathered via the intrawebz and lots of forum surfing over a period of 2 months If you are considering buying a DC Level 5, do it. Don't think about it, just do it. It'll work. go to lowes get bricks wait in yard. throw said brick at vehicle. If thats me and that just happened to me Im going looking for him after that. 1. Goto lowes 2. Get some bricks 3. ??? 4. PROFIT!! Profit from everything. LOVE ideas like this. xD
skittlesRgood
12v battery charges at 14v 14v at 16v 16v at 18v your car should be ok on a 14v system but a 16v system would be too much. your alt needs to be set to charge at the higher voltage by the maker. hdorre
1200w / 14v = 85.7amps / 70%efficiency = 122amps 122x.5 for music. I believe 122amps is for burping without impedance rise Quote On 5/8/2011 at 7:38 PM, Kranny said: On 5/8/2011 at 7:35 PM, 'Maxim' said: It hurts me inside when I read stuff like this and remember you're 15 LMFAO so true Mitsubishi 3000GT (Old Build) Headunit: Pioneer 80PRS Frontstage: (2) McLaren Audio MLT-2 Tweeters & (4) PRV Audio MR Series Neo 6.5" Mids Substage: 4 15" Hybrid Subs - Tantric Motors & Sundown Softies Amps: Banda 2.4D Amp (Tweets), American Bass VFL 350.4 (Mids), and (2) Ampere 3800s Electrical :Singer 260A Alt & JY Power Lithium 2005 Chevy Colorado Ext Cab Headunit: Pioneer 80PRS Frontstage: 4 PRV 700Ti Tweets & 6 10" Delta Mids on 3000wrms Substage: 6 Fi BTL 18s in a 4th Order Walkthrough on 3 Wolfram 4500s Electrical: Singer "390" and JY Power My Official Feedback Thread
skittlesRgood
well i guess that depends on you. i, for one, get ever possible watt out of my amps even on music. they damn sure dont do half power on music. I believe I read that 50% thing from one of Ed's posts. It also on RF's website. I bet you do get "every single watt" out of those 3kwps on music.
