masterbarber Posted October 12, 2010 Report Posted October 12, 2010 Ok here's the deal; I have my wagon wich im putting a new system on, my factory alternator with the Big 3 upgrade was hiting 14.1 volts. But with the lights on and the system bumping the lights go low. So i decide to upgrade and bought a 165amp high power alternator and 2 extra bateries. I just installed the bateries with 0 gauge and the new alternator, and when i crank the car on its hiting only 12.0 volts. Why? What im doing wrong? I dont get it . I can change the alternator if that its the problem cause it has warranty. Can anyone give me an advise on this issue? Mosin Posted October 13, 2010 Report Posted October 13, 2010 For the system in your sig you should consider a slightly larger charging system. Swap the old alt back in and see what your voltage is at. What do all the batts rest at? Derp.
