cOmpressor
Bet you would have scored alot higher if you used a song with more consistent bass Well I played that song first as it always sounded loud, then found out I peak at 40hz. Then on tones it hit the same # so any song with that frequency should have worked.
cOmpressor
Oh forgot an update, 137.5 dbzzzz sealed on the dash and 140.1 with the drivers door open. .2db bump up from 2sheets of SSDP was cool to see. I bought a bulk pack so the rest is going in soon so we'll see if more helps or hurts.
cOmpressor
good start! keep playing with it and see where you can get it! We have a guy with a single 10" in an Mitsubishi Eclipse... started out doing 140's, now he's doing 152.2 in the kick (burp) for nspl, a 151.9 on the dash burping(dBdrag and nspl), and with his music box (music peaking at 36hz) he will do 149's on music. clamped power 2700 watts. the thing is... he lets me try new and crazy ideas, some work, some don't... but the more you play with it, the better the results may get... just don't give up. AND HAVE FUN!!! 140's-152.2 is a crazy gain for "testing out some ideas" ha ha. 2700w is nice power for a 10" but I'd like to see how far I can take it on 600w. 137.5db is sealed on the dash and 140.1 with the drivers door open but I think I have some room left in it. doeboi_79
I love playing with tens also, but not with only 600 watts, thats a really good score. But yea some dudes kill it.. think one guy here is hitting a 151 with an audioque single ten and 2 sundown 4500's strapped. But like i said for daily and only 600 watts thats a great score. 93 Chevy Astro ,Big 3 / 300 amp alt Kinetik 1800 front & 3 2400's rear ,Kenwood KDC-X493,Pioneer 5x6's & 6x9'sPhoenix gold The One # 35/100Sub DD.Z 18"will TL on 5/5/13previous sub's and Spl scores, 1....SMD.......18"....147.2 Sealed ,,, 148.5 outlaw .. cOmpressor
Thanks, I'm thinking about putting 2k on it for autorama and see what happens. I'm looking for 140 sealed up, that would make me happy. I've always said I don't care about numbers if it sounds good but after a couple comps I am trying to get everything I can out of it. doeboi_79
well if you sacrifice music and built an spl box you could score alot higher.. I using a 1cu ft box tuned tuned to 45hz with a 6' port off 2k watts and hitting a 144.2 out my trunk. box makes a big difference. and if you do tune high like mid 40's i got the songs for bass race... 93 Chevy Astro ,Big 3 / 300 amp alt Kinetik 1800 front & 3 2400's rear ,Kenwood KDC-X493,Pioneer 5x6's & 6x9'sPhoenix gold The One # 35/100Sub DD.Z 18"will TL on 5/5/13previous sub's and Spl scores, 1....SMD.......18"....147.2 Sealed ,,, 148.5 outlaw .. cOmpressor
Well I'm at 41hz, tuned for 40hz. I won't get into burp boxes, not my thing. I need to play music to and from a show. I have a small truck and the sub is maybe 3ft from the meter so I think more powa will change things a bit ha ha.

Just a thought, would it help if he didn't play music on the way to the show and make sure the battery was fully charged before he left?
doeboi_79
In my experience you can gain a little bit by not playing the sub befor you meter it. Not a whole lot but i have seen .2 db difference. Then again the weather can change it that much in some cases. Also I notice i meter higher at night. 93 Chevy Astro ,Big 3 / 300 amp alt Kinetik 1800 front & 3 2400's rear ,Kenwood KDC-X493,Pioneer 5x6's & 6x9'sPhoenix gold The One # 35/100Sub DD.Z 18"will TL on 5/5/13previous sub's and Spl scores, 1....SMD.......18"....147.2 Sealed ,,, 148.5 outlaw ..
