Freshman6969
anyways... so on my way home last night i realized my voltage was dropping a bit, and i got up this morning started my car and it was sitting at 13.5, usally sits at 13.9-14.0 on a cold start....so then i started to sit at 13.4, i went full tilt after school and it dropped to 12.1, thats not normal, full tilt i never drop below 12.8, wtf is the problem? i have my voltmeter wired at my sub amp, ever since i therw the hc1400 in i havent had any problems, what happend all the sudden? i havent gotten around to checking either of the batts yet, just the connections, still gotta find my DMM Quote Legal TL scores145.6 on the dash sealed up in the low 40hz area with the port out145.5 on the dash sealed up @30hz with the port inless then 1k clamped on a 3.5k! dugee81
I was having voltage problems, found out it was my hc1400 under the hood. Not saying that is the problem, but yeah after taking that out I haven't had any. Alex K
make sure alt is tigntened down. My + wire came undone from vibration and caused voltage drop to lower 10's. RMac18
Perhaps double check all your grounds as well since you'll already be checking the batt's and alt wiring too.
AMI CUSTOMS
A nap....LOL, check all grounds, check alt power wire, check to make sure you didn't pop a fuse somewhere and it is limiting your transfer and if that all pans out, get alt tested, then if that is good, test with vehicle off and radio on and see what your drop looks like, if it nasty bad you got a battery issue. Hope it helps!!!! skittlesRgood
could be a bad battery. maybe a bad diode in the alt. take it to an auto parts store and have them test the alt. they can do it without taking the alt out and its free.
