bumonskateboard6
Called up Kyle at DC Power on Friday at 4pm, told him what I wanted, and the alt was shipped the same day and got here today. Its a 260amp peak with 130-140amp idle for a 2002 Acura TL, and has the 15.1v module. Unfortunately it'll be a little while till I get this installed I need more wire! What amp(s) are you powering with this? As of now just my PRSD2000 at one ohm on 2 LVL4 12s, and shortly a P300-1 for my LVL2 8, but i have a feeling 2 RF t2500-1bdcps and a t1000-4 are in my future (if budget goes right finally), but either way this is the first step in me actually getting my ass in gear for going bigger. And yeah shipping the same day I ordered it was awesome, made me a DC Power supporter for sure, plus Kyle was cool on the phone haha Quote Current Systems: 2011 BMW 335i Hertz HDP1 DC LVL3 12" Full Carbon Fiber 2002 Acura TlKenwood DNX9980HD2 DCLVL4 12" Subs with LVL5 Parts D.7 CoilsDC 3.5kHertz HSK-165 up front HCX-165 RearHertz HDP4 AmpDC Power Engineering 260 Amp AltBig 3 and amp powered with KNU 1/0XS Power D2400 Up Front i pulled out my dick in class many of times and had it shown. get over it bitch...stupid open legged hairy beavered bitch... going over rms = smaller box, under rms = bigger box... bumonskateboard6
Got my new alternator actually installed today (finally) , I ended up having to use the stock alternator's pulley because no matter how much the auto tensioner would move it was leaving slack on the new pulley. Just for comparison the stock pulley was 3 1/8" and the one on the DC Alt was 1 7/8" roughly. Anyway onto some stats: At front battery (about a month left of life in it at 4 years old): Idle Voltage Hot No Load: 14.62 Idle Voltage Hot Full Tilt: 13.9 1800rpm voltage Hot No Load: 14.96 1800rpm voltage Hot Full Tilt: 14.53 At Rear Amplifier: Idle voltage Hot No Load: 14.61 Idle Voltage Hot Full Tilt: 13.83 1800rpm voltage Hot No Load: 14.94 1800rpm voltage Hot Full Tilt: 14.42 This is a drastic improvement over my stock alt where I was dropping into 11's at the back at full tilt. There will probably be even better voltage gains when my engine is cold, and when I have a new battery (XS D2400) installed. Anyway I didn't think to snap pictures while installing it but here it is installed: Yikes Dirty Engine...stupid dusty Tucson Anyway I'm happy with the voltage gain, it might not be putting out everything it could cause I had to change the pulley, but it's MUCH MUCH MUCH MUCH better than stock and will be able to charge my batteries and make me ready for more system upgrades to come! Thanks to Kyle at DC for building a good alt!
